American Hellenic Professional Society

Purposes & Objectives of the Society:

Educational:
To present lectures, programs, events, seminars, and films on topics of interest to members.

Cultural:
To organize and sponsor cultural, artistic, and intellectual activities for the benefit of its members, the general public and the Hellenic Community.

Social:
To cultivate the spirit of professional and social cooperation among its members and to provide an opportunity to promote friendship among people of Hellenic descent and Philhellenes in Northern California.

Service:
To provide speakers, visual aids, and literature regarding Hellenic culture and language to both Hellenic and American groups, schools or communities.  To extend all possible professional orientation and assistance to newcomers from Greece and to Hellenes from other parts of the United States.

Honors:
To bestow honors and awards upon members and others in recognition of especially meritorious performance in the field of Hellenism.
